Choose Green is FC Nairobi's long-term commitment to tackling the root causes of youth violence in Nairobi — choosing the pitch over the streets, and providing safe spaces, mentorship and opportunity for our young people.
Why green
Green is the colour of the pitch. Of growth. Of life. When a young person chooses green, they choose training over trouble, teammates over gangs, and a future over the streets. Choose Green is our promise to make that choice possible — for every young Nairobian.
The initiative
Safe Spaces
Creating and refurbishing safe places to play across Nairobi's neighbourhoods — floodlit community pitches, open training sessions and supervised matchdays where every young person is welcome.
Mentorship
Coaches, players and community champions acting as role models — showing young Nairobians that discipline, teamwork and ambition can carry them further than the streets ever will.
Opportunity
Education support, skills training and pathways into football, multi-sport and employment — tackling the root causes of youth violence by replacing them with real futures.
Community Champions
Recognising and supporting the people and organisations already working to keep young people safe — and standing beside them, season after season.

Alongside our community programmes at Crown Crane Park, Choose Green will invest in the people and places that keep young Nairobians safe — working with schools, local organisations, families and county authorities to give every young person a route onto the pitch and into a future.
